God is imagined to dwell in booths, tents, temples, between the wings of cherubim, in the thick darkness,
etc. The Prophet Elijah found Him in "the still small voice" (First Kings 19:12). When God replied to the
Prophet Jeremiah's request to pardon Jerusalem from destruction (Jeremiah 5:1), God hinted at His eternal domicile. He
also hinted, as Jeremiah learned that the Moshiach would have to find God in the dimension in which His domicile exists.
Why do humans pray for the coming of the messiah with such fervor and yet prevent his arrival ? Men of all
faiths and religions speak of God's dwelling with such ease and familiarity, yet God's Presence remains elusive. Is it because
they are confused or have misidentified the substance of this dimension ? Or are humans simply governed my the negative impulse
or ego which eclipses God while they call on His name ? Marshall McLuhan in his great book, The Gutenberg Galaxy, discusses
the social impact of Johan Gutenberg's development of the printing press in about 1439. Men who sat inside their villages'
gates could satisfy their yearning for knowledge by asking travelers and discerning whether they were told the truth. They
could verify by the reports of others until they learned or thought they learned the truth. Once men could take the news
home with them in a paper they were unable to readily - if at all - verify the truth of a matter. The appetite for truth
morphed into opinion and the value of opinion became equal to that of truth. In fact truth morphed from the truth, i.e., the
absolute truth into relative truths which are no truths at all, but vested opinions. Mankind then became lost in competing
opinions and is only now able to escape his dark age. The new electronic media, McLuhan explains, returns mankind to the age
of the ear, but instead of sitting in the village square , we are able to listen to electronic media as if our ears can
stretch over the entire globe. He predicted that mankind would become like a single global tribe. Especially now, with the
internet, mankind has an opportunity to research and verify until he attains the truth. When all of mankind acknowledges the
TRUTH and then complies with Truth, we will become the global village, blessed by the God of truth.
At the moment, civilization is like it was in ancient, classical civilizations which made gods in the natural
human images and characters with which their egoistic selves could identify without suffering a challenge to their culture
of natural expression.
Then suddenly a new phenomenon arose and became a nation with a new social contract and a mission. The nation's
purpose was to adopt and exercise the laws of the One God, who claimed to be the One who created everything man's senses could
perceive and more. Moreover, he claimed to have made man in His image. Now He decided that civilization which was established
on the principle that natural expressions projecting into society and all the earth, has led to violence and suffering. And
this is not what He intended for mankind.
He created animals to be animals and to live by their natural inclinations, but He made humans
with another dimension which created the potential for them to emulate Divinity. Humans cannot revert to being animanls, but
natural inclinations established as the path of mankind is also not acceptable according to the Covenant God made
the new nation of Israel. Israel's purpose was to bear testimony to the truth, i.e., that God created the universe and gave
His Torah to Israel along with a Covenant whereby Israel would be rewarded for compliance with the Torah and suffer corrections
and punishments with growing severity for non-compliance.
Israel has been so misled for over two millenia that the nation, especially the most educated has been made
hopelessly stupid and lost. Indeed the accelarating stupidification of the so-called educated of every religion or social
group has created a resurgence of such fanatacism in defense of each groups respective beliefs, that the planet has become
endangered, precisely because of not only the absence of truth, but the repackaging of the very concept of turth into respective
opinions which are called truth. In fact mankind has entered a new era of mythology. In addition we have returned to paganism
in that we indulge our natural inclination and repackage our respective religions to permit this by applying manmade religious
laws and rituals. This neo - paganism is especially deadly to the two nations who have a covenanent with the Creator. America
invoked God and received His blessings and therefore is obligated to fulfill vows of compliance which begged God's deliverance
and blessings. Israel, which was specifically created to enjoy vast blessings for compliance with God and to suffer the awful
consequences of the Covenant for non-compliance.
When Israel decides to, she will seek out God in His eternal domicile. And when she finds TRUTH,
she will find both God and His anointed messiah.
May each of conquer our impulses and egoes to see that we are lost in mytholigical versions of truth and
to continue on to hunt out TRUTH until we can bring mankind out of the world of chance and into the world of faith, that in
living according to God's Torah we attain immeasurable blessing. Amen.
