WHAT IS A JEW ?
Israel is the only nation on earth given
a purpose, contract, constitution, identity, mission, eternal destiny, individual and national obligations and responsibilities,
and a list of consequences for compliance and non-compliance by the Creator, the Master of the universe.
Israel is the only nation on earth that is
held accountable for performance of God’s laws as set forth in the Torah of Moses. The Jewish people are the only source
of salvation for the entire brotherhood of mankind. And the Jewish people alone are capable of invoking God as “the
shield of thy help” and the “sword of thy excellency” ( Deuteronomy 33:29), i.e., PROVIDED that the
people comply with God’s Torah.
Israel’s, i.e., the Jewish people’s
purpose, is to demonstrate how to comply with God’s laws and thereby receive the entire cornucopia of His blessings.
To date the Jewish people’s performance receives utterly failing grades. The mission of the Jewish people is to become
totally righteous and holy and make of Israel a kingdom of priests who serve God’s purposes and intentions to transform
the entire planet into a moral and spiritual world. Israel is to create the moral, spiritual and ethical context for every
field of human endeavor from architecture to zoology. And Israel is to establish the moral fiber which creates the tapestry
of a human civilization where God does not have to feel like an alien. The command to love God means to shape the world according
to HIS desire. Israel is obviously a failure to date and not even willing to acknowledge its shortcomings or come to the correct
mental universe to carry out its mission.
Israel’s destiny is to rise out of
the ashes of her failed, terror filled existence and become the corporate manifestation of God’s own attributes and
the fulfillment of His desires. Israel will become the righteous and holy nation embodying godliness in all endeavors. Israel
will come to share God’s vision of the earth and conquer all evil forces and install a reign of truth and justice by
which all of mankind can labor and rest unafraid in the knowledge that God will reward their whole hearted compliance with
His laws.
At the dawn of Israel’s resurrection
as a modern nation all of mankind’s best souls shared in the invigorated hope that now mankind’s salvation would
finally come.
The State of Israel was awash with communists,
leftists, emasculated observant Jews buried in laws of their own fabrication; and inspite of moments of glory, notably the
1967 Six Days War and the rescue at Entebbe, the State became a dismal failure. Today, the new Israeli is a fearful shadow
of his 1967 self and the existential threats from outside and within her own shrinking borders are met with a suicidal cooperation
with the accelerating blood lust of her dedicated enemies.
Israel has but one choice besides annihilation.
Only one choice will provide the chance for her to survive the genocide and annihilation prepared by her enemies with tacit
complicity by her allies and friends.
The ersatz choice is adherence to the Code
of Jewish Law, which has been the basis of observant Jewish life for over two millennia. But compliance with this Code has
not saved Jews from annihilation and persecution nor has it made Israel the vessel for God's Spirit. The real choice
is considered heretical because the rabbinic education of the nation has rendered the Jewish people Talmudic Jews rather than
Torah Jews. The difference is so critical but the nation has been educated to see no contradiction. In fact the people use
the term Torah observant when they mean compliance with the Code of Jewish Laws from Talmudic laws. The difference is that
numerous laws instituted by the rabbis of the Talmud and later ones are in violation of the Torah ! This statement itself
is considered a heresy and will prevent the Jewish people from considering that God has punished them for violating His Torah.
My book, “A Twist of Faith” is a novel depicting the truth of this statement, which is currently anathema to the
nation of Israel. The irony is that the Jewish people see their remedy as poison and their poison as their remedy. Egotism
has always separated man from His God. Egotism also seeks to preserve convenient myths at all costs. Israel has paid dearly
to preserve its religious life. Now it is time to let the ego die so that God's Torah can guide us to a new life. If we fail
to establish the righteous paths to dwell in which are compliant with God's Torah, we will loose more than our egos.
Of course there will be some cultural dislocations
as a result of the conversion from rabbinic law to Torah law, but many rabbinic laws enhance the observance of Torah
and are acceptable. Only those which contradict the Torah should be phased out in order to comply with God's Torah.
My job is to convince you to pick up your
Torahs and read it and see that God is serious about compliance with His Torah and is in no way prepared to accept substituted
laws no matter how many illustrious rabbis have contributed to their institutionalization as the established Code for Jewish
life. Of course the rabbinic laws which embellish Torah laws, such as ceremonial Sabbath and holiday dinners are not at issue
here.
I exhort you to reread your Torahs
with open eyes and minds and a truthful receptivity for God’s guidance. You may be shocked out of your failed existence
and find a bold determination to leave a self – imposed victim hood and embark on our true calling as the holy, righteous
victors, eternally blessed by a well pleased God. The truth will free us from sinfulness,
from falsely representing God and from the terrors of our history. If God Himself is subordinate to truth and at its mercy and
must live with its consequences even though it causes Him pain at times, hadn't we, who are commanded to love Him, best
adjust our lives accordingly so as to prevent God and our other loved ones from experiencing any more suffering, mourning,
sadness and worry ? It is our destiny to fulfill the Torah laws, let's begin doing so voluntarily and immediately.
We start by conquering our egos and take it step by step. It is not beyond the scope of our abilities and it is our only hope
of survival.
Take
a look at this Torah portion - the one before Yom HaZicaron or the so-called new year. In Nitzavim Deuteronomy 30:10
- 13. Again God demands that we observe His written law. We also have the line that the Torah is not in heaven which was
disingenuously used to assert rabbinic control of the nation. The Torah certainly comes from heaven, i.e., God, but He brought
it to us in its written form so no one has to go to heaven to understand it or to act like it cannot be understood until someone
goes to heaven to learn its meaning ( Deuteronomy 30 : 11 ). In other words God did a good job of bringing His law to
earth. It is clear as a bell and requires no help from expositors. All He needs are the judges and guardians to
govern the people.
