The entire Six Day War was miraculous, even more so because
the American administration betrayed the plans for the surprise attack to President Nasser who discounted it as impossible
for the Jews to execute!
The pearl
of the war was the liberation of Israel's ancient and the world's FUTURE capital !
For the last 48 years the nations of the world have tried to reverse the miracle of the victory
of the war. They have especially tried to use every means to rest Jerusalem from our newly reborn state. Even the Catholic
church and many Protestant groups have thrown their resources into attacking God's choice in returning Israel's capital
to Israel's people.
Our answer to this consortium
of nations and groups should be simply to fluff them off as one does to mosquitoes or gnats at our Independence Day Festivals.
The answer we OWE is to our GOD, the God of our Forefathers to whom
HE promised just this very restoration in the End of Days. To make the point clear under heaven, the Lord God of Israel also
liberated the Kever HaMachpela, the Tomb of our Patriarchs and Matriarchs, and the tombs of Joseph and his mother Rachel.
And what should our answer be ? Should we be scratching our heads
to tell the world's nations and people yet another justification for our new State ? This is like pouring precious water
into a bucket full of holes. So the time for explaining is OVER. That will be the clearest and most profound explanation -
die hard chronic writers' impulses notwithstanding !
This is what to do to justify our existence; to show gratitude to our God and most of all to insure the miraculous
victory, the State and our eternal capital, Yerushalayim :
The Jewish conscience is the lamp of the Lord which searches our inner most intentions, thoughts and emotions. We
must dust off this precious defining, and essential aspect of our people hood and use it to monitor our selves and refine
ourselves into a people whose every thought, word, deed and emotion is synchronized with the will of our God. We will not
succeed in separating our existence as a nation from our destiny to become a mamlechet cohanim - a nation of priests - any
more than our ancestors did ! So forget about this option. IT IS A DELUSION !
We need to look at one another as brothers and sisters. We need to drive on the roads like brothers
and sisters looking out for one another. We need to let our hearts be warmed so as to do everything we do with the purest
of concerns for each other. We are thereby going to honor and love our God as well as each other. And we are going to succeed
because God will gladly bless us more with His open and generous Hands. No nation or friend is to be regarded unless they
too are ready to wholeheartedly join in this Covenanted way of life of compliance with a Beneficent Creator who HAS CHOSEN
Israel to be His inheritance and His teachers for all mankind. First we learn how to be holy and then the world will see this
and follow suit.
The way is not so complicated
as our ancient and modern religious establishment has presented it. DO NOT FLUFF OFF THIS COMPLIANCE WITH GOD'S TORAH
BECAUSE YOU THINK IT IS THE FABRICATED RELIGION INVENTED BY OUR RABBIS ! If you like their style, by all means do as you wish
so long as you become a true lover of your God and your people as well. However, for those of you who have thrown out the
baby with the bath water and lived a life as a modern secular citizen; I exhort you to subordinate your wills to that of our
Creator. You will find that our survival - our success - and the growing quality of our lives, will be the the reward for
this act of homage to our God. Your egos may suffer, but your souls will rejoice. If there is anything beyond your control,
at least be wholehearted and humble with YOUR God - He knows you !!
