ISRAEL'S IDENTITY CRISIS

For about 2000 years, Jews have been persecuted, murdered, robbed, raped, tortured, ..... etc. As the modern era of history dawned and ideas of emancipation, liberty, equality and even utopian brotherhood filled the imaginations of enlightened Europeans, Jews, too, believed that this new sun would shine upon them. However, when the enlightened intelligentsia of Russia, versed in these new humanistic concepts, participated in pogroms against the Jews; the demoralization and return to victimhood appeared inescapable on European soil.

As the first yishuv (settlement) brought these utopian ideas back into the imaginations and day to day reality of Israel’s pioneers; the world followed the Jews to their Homeland. The burgeoning nationalism of Europe began its pathway to the Muslim mind and awakened Islam’s Koranic demonization of the Jew; and a new era of anti-Semitism dawned upon the unsuspecting pioneers.

For the next 133 years the growing population of the reborn Jewish Homeland experienced existential attacks from the entire world. The UN, the one time hope for humanity’s crystallization into a genuinely humane species was soon to prove that it was no more than a melting pot of anti-Semitic forces determined to destroy the Jewish Homeland. Of the 192 member nations of the United Nations, all target Israel and threaten her survival. Even the United States, whose State Department has consistently sabotaged the Jewish Homeland and participated in the Holocaust by its refusal to use the powers at its fingertips to save even a handful of Jews during the Holocaust, is today, CLEARLY antagonistic to Jewish survival in the Holy Land of Israel.

As a result of the pervasiveness of the new electronic media with its ubiquitous reach into the homes, work places, schools, minds and hearts of every soul in the Jewish Homeland; no Israeli is free from the toxic influence emanating from every corner of the world which attacks Jewish claims to nationhood in our Ancestral Homeland. It matters little that every major antagonist justifies its own existence by holding dear to its national collective soul an ancient book written by Israel’s Prophets about the lives of Israel’s Patriarchs and Matriarchs or containing stories about them and how God will exile and restore us to our Eternal Homeland. However this CLEAR HYPOCRISY does not make these nations ashamed. This, however, is not the real problem.

The problem is that this CLEAR defect in the bulk of humanity is NOT CLEAR to Jews and is NOT CLEAR to Israelis in particular. Most people think that the sociological “other” is really just like themselves, possessing a soul with a living, functioning conscience just like theirs. Consequently Israelis believe that they can just explain the justice of their existence, and rational people will hear them. They believe that reason and truth can defeat the ubiquitous falsehoods generated in torrents about them. They believe that their enemies have misunderstood them. They believe that they can reason with their enemies and agree upon fair solutions. In short, Jews and Israelis in particular CANNOT ACCEPT THE UBIQUITY OF MANKIND’S INHUMANITY. Of a certainty, mankind around the globe and as DEMONstrated in the august halls of the UN, knows full well how to proudly present its cultural superiority and stateliness. However, like the vain emperor in the children’s fairy tale, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, the naked inhumanity of the member states of the UN lies hidden to those who sustain the mythology of humanity’s humanity.

Israelis must come to the realization that no matter how well they reason with the world; no matter how erudite they articulate their case; and NO MATTER HOW JUST IS THEIR CAUSE, AND NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY ARE TO THOSE THEY HAVE BEEN FORCED TO FIGHT AND CONQUER; MANKIND IS JUST NOT INTERESTED.

Many Israelis have become depressed by this fact of life on planet earth. And many of Israel’s youth, hammered from birth by the barrage of lies from enemies and friends, have lost or never found their identities ! They desperately want to be free to travel the world and to enjoy the camaraderie of the planet’s people, but wherever they go and whenever they return home, the delegitimization war of attrition wears on their nerves and on their souls. Many among Israel’s youth suffer from psychological trauma evinced as a lack of belief in their right to be in their Own Homeland. They may not admit this or even realize that they manifest symptoms of identity crisis. Unfortunately, with much less time available today than Jews had from the publication of Mein Kampf to the time it took America’s overlord, robber barons - who own the State Department and CIA - to facilitate the Fuhrer’s rise to power, Israelis can’t afford psychotherapy - even if it worked.

These poor Israelis don’t even know the genesis of their problem. They believe that they are depressed, or melancholy or simply not on the right side of history, as the entire world tells them. They look to their leaders and all they see is the futility of explaining, justifying and negotiating with false friends and outright mortal enemies armed with smiles, tears, indignation or whatever mask they choose to don for their various audiences. Bibi Netanyahu’s eloquent speech at the UN General Assembly on October 1st, 2013 should be an anchor to imbed in every Israeli’s mind and heart. THE ENORMITY OF THE FACT that THERE IS SIMPLY NO ONE WITH A CONSCIENCE AT HOME IN THE WORLD or at least not when it comes to the Jews is an existential imperative for them to accept ! What was in the primitive and medieval world of the “dark ages” is again at large - and it is still hunting for Jews, albeit with more sophistication and aplomb.

“...Because Moab Moab and Seir said, ‘See, the House of Judah is like all other nations’ - assuredly .... I will mete out punishments to Moab. And they shall know that I am the Lord” (Ezekiel 25:8).

One of Israel’s responses to the hostile world is to auto - deconstruct its eternal, God made identity. This attitude has become a policy for domestic education and for foreign policy. David Ben Gurion, himself was pleased when Israel suffered its first murder. Now, he 'qvelled', Israel was like all the other nations. Theodore Herzl’s vision was always at war with the genuinely Jewish identity promoted by the great Ze’ev Jabotinsky.

There is no question in my mind that Israel’s adoption of this ignominious attitude and policy is a product of internal and external brainwashing which has gone on since the Enlightenment movement of the mid 19th century. And this ill - suited identity has been the source of curses and not solutions to Israel’s quest to share a place under the sun with the rest of the world’s nations. Any rational person knows that in a pre - utopian universe peace is maintained when one's enemy is made to fear him. Israel's Grasshopper Prime Miniature Netanyahu has neither the faith nor the courage to lead the nation of Israel. This job is unfortunately too big for any and all of Israel's leadership potentates. The people may well need to suffer for their inability to see the moshiach in this generation. He alone will know how God wants Israel to act in the face of the entire world's duplicitous conspiracy to solve the "Jewish question" by eradicating the nation of Israel.

The ancient Chinese general Sun Tzu's famous book, "The Art of War" has a passage relevant to what is happening to the Israeli psyche: "Supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting". This is what the world, the PLO, the American governments and our own stupid, heartless, cowardly leaders have let happen to us. We, the Judeans, are destined to be God's weapons of war (Jeremiah 51 : 20-23) not eternally dominated and victimized. We just need to muscle up and get right with God !!!

Blaming two thousand years of rabbinic brainwashing which inculcated the “grasshopper” (Numbers 13:33) syndrome into the fragile souls of our persecuted people won’t help us now. We can, however, rest assured that the criminality of the misleading, anti-Torah lifestyle they invented and perpetrated upon us will be judged when the Moshiach reaches this item on God’s agenda. For the moment, though, our people have an identity crisis which, while prevalent in our citizens, is significantly debilitating in our leadership. Even the most militant, remains no more than a “grasshopper”. Had the rabbis inculcated us with the truth, we would be invincible. The Torah reminds us that our GOD made His Chosen People to be like lion cubs and lionesses ( Genesis 49 : 9; Numbers 24 : 9 ). GOD MADE US VICTORIOUS BEYOND MORTAL CAPABILITY. God Alone promised us in Deuteronomy 32:30 that 1 of our warriors would chase 1000 and 5 of us would chase 10,000 of our enemies. SO HOW COME OUR LEADERS, eloquent and even cocky as some of them are, STILL ACT LIKE HOPELESS GRASSHOPPERS facing apparently insurmountable enemies ? Did they forget that God will come to Judah's assistance ( Deuteronomy 33 : 7 ). Did they not want us to know that they are the tragic impediment to God being our Sword and Shield (Deuteronomy 33 : 29) ? The tragic truth of our identity dilemma is that our 2000 plus years of sojourning with our rabbis leading us, has forged our people into hopeless victims, eternally disqualified from earning God’s amazing blessings which are CLEARLY AND INESCAPABLY itemized in HIS WRITTEN TORAH. The rabbis simply invented a dialogue with God that contradicted HIS Torah. The rabbis invented their oral Torah, which they made us believe was given to Moses simultaneously with the written one. When our people followed this fabricated, criminal and libelous misrepresentation of God’s own Torah, they were unwittingly breaking our contract with our God!! GOD WAS ALWAYS READY TO FULFILL THE TERMS OF HIS COVENANT WITH OUR PEOPLE, BUT OUR RABBIS TOLD US TO DO THINGS THAT VIOLATED THE CONTRACT WHILE, AT THE SAME TIME MAKING US BELIEVE THAT WE WERE FOLLOWING THE CONTRACT EXACTLY AS GOD INTENDED. When we were not able to defeat our persecutors; when our grasshopper males cried in the synagogues while our wives and daughters were being raped and butchered, our false leaders invented bigger lies. THE RABBIS TOLD US THAT THE BLESSINGS THAT GOD PROMISED US FOR COMPLYING WITH THE TORAH ONLY CAME IN THE NEXT WORLD. This, of course, deflected rational scrutiny and criticism and insured their stature and positions as rabbis, teachers and leaders and guaranteed their entitlement to the best food, best homes and best women, etc.

So what can we do now with the gutless, heartless cockatoos that pose as the leaders of Israel’s potential lions ? Can they just click their heels as Dorothy did in “The Wizard of Oz” ? Maybe, but they better back the clicks up with more than magic. ISRAEL HAS TO REINVENT ITSELF IMMEDIATELY AS GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE ! We have to wean ourselves from the “grasshopper” mindset and REALIZE THAT GOD INTENDED FOR US TO DWELL ALONE and apart from the rest of humanity. We are their teachers, governors and power brokers. BUT WE ARE OBLIGATED TO TRULY REPRESENT OUR GOD AND FULFILL THE OBLIGATIONS OF OUR TRUE COVENANT. Brothers, this is a sweet deal. FOR SOLDIERS IN BATTLE IT’S SWEETER STILL : BE FAITHFUL, BE BRAVE, BE BULLET PROOF ! Being a truly observant Jew was never more simple. If someone wrote, “The Bullet Proof Israeli Soldier For Dummies”, or “How To Be A Truly Observant Jew For Dummies” these books would simply contain the litany of true biblical obligations which we are able to fulfill and the list of blessings as it is written in the WRITTEN TORAH OF MOSHE !! Welcome wandering Jew. Now that you are home, pick up your Torah and see how God really wants you to be. See if this Torah True Lifestyle isn’t the finest deal imaginable ! See if our God doesn’t promise His Chosen People a lifestyle infinitely more pleasing than any ever imagined by any of the world's utopian philosophers !! And don’t worry about signing the Eternal Covenant, you are already signed in and logged on forever !!! THE CHIEF COMMAND WE MUST FOLLOW TO GIVE US A MIRACULOUS TACTICAL ADVANTAGE OVER ALL ENEMIES IS BROTHERHOOD. "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF" ( Leviticus 19 : 18 ). Israel is like a big , extended family or village every time the news is broadcast, or in an emergency. There is no people so predisposed to brotherhood, nor so seriously at risk. So let's step up to the plate and extend that brotherhood from the moments we listen to the news or respond to emergencies, to our daily personal, social, civic and business lives.

Now let yourself accept your once and eternal identity as God’s Warrior Priests who will bring humanity to all His Creation. Let that Holy Spirit enter your soul and infuse your veins and arteries with your true Jewish identity. Then walk away from the rest of the world and let them watch you as God Himself animates your souls to conquer and destroy all our enemies, all of God’s enemies and all of the enemies of all good people. We will indeed fulfill this mission. Mankind will surely become free from all oppression and fear. And the rest of the world will come running back to us to serve us and our God - as God intended and Prophesied. Many will surely join us as is prophesied too. Our leaders today will either muster this Inner Force and transmit it to the rest of our citizens or they will be replaced. WE DIDN’T HIRE THEM TO BE JOBNICKS. If they can only be accountants; fire them immediately and find men of indomitable spirits who know what God wants of a Jew and who know how to act with God animating their invincible souls. Our leaders are not just Israeli leaders - THEY ARE THE WORLD’S LEADERS !!! And when they and Israel act appropriately the world will finally hear us - and listen. Only then will we attain our long, long, long awaited PEACE. Ain Brirah (there’s no choice), but it’s the sweetest deal in the universe.
