The revelations that Chinese manufacturers of clothing and other products sold world wide were applying
unfair labor practices common to 19th century England and the United States should have put Upton Sinclair's famous book,
"The Jungle" back on the NY Times best seller list. It should also have led to a boycott of Chinese goods. But
no one seemed interested after first blush. The so - called Green Movement seemed to accept the lot of these slaves as the
Indians accept their caste system. And Americans then proceeded to become addicted to cheap goods.
Similarly the take over of America's farming and meat processing plants by unscrupulous
corporations doomed animals to short, terrorized lives of torture unheard of in world history. The genetically modified
food from these farms then doomed American's to lives of constant illness with only compromised pharmaceuticals provided
by similarly unscrupulous drug manufacturers to complicate their illnesses.
America the nation founded on the revolutionary biblical principles of the Hebrew Bible with
a vision of freedom for the entire planet became subjugated by cruel, greedy and insidiously manipulative rulers. Their
control of the media, education, political machinery and our thoughts and emotions have rendered Americans about as conscious
as the tortured animals they consume. It is a rare fellow who is truly motivated by the truth. Even the so - called green
and other liberation movements don't address the addiction to eating flesh. And it is the flesh food industry which
is the actual source of most of the planet's pollution. There is absolutely no point in pointing to any climate change
indicator before dismantling the industry which destroys our morality, health and destiny as a free people by subjecting
animals, which God created for us to care for, to such unspeakable horror. That Jewish kosher certification organizations
turn a blind eye to such cruelty does not mean that God does.
And where does Israel, the nation whom God chose to bring liberty to His creation, figure in this situation ? While
it is true that Israel's vegetarian population grows faster than any other, Israel is also held to a higher standard.
And yet Israel has shown itself oblivious to the suffering of animals and oppressed workers in sweat shops in China and
around the third world.
I remember the many kaballah
sessions in which I was taught that enlightenment was indicated by the ability to hear the music of the spheres. I would
counter that it is the hearing of the anguished cries from all corners of the world that indicated a person's advancement.
When God has stopped warning a nation of the
dire consequences resulting from their sinfulness, He overturns it. America has been guilty of defying the God whose blessings
our Founders sought for our nation's freedom and prosperity. I am certain that another four years of President Husein
will destroy America. However, I am not sure that America can be brought back to God's grace by President Mit and VP
Paul.
Israel's flirtation with democratic,
secular statehood, has been exemplary. However, no where in God's Bible does He mandate anything but governance based
on His Holy Covenant. The simple social contract God gave Israel to guide its affairs of state and its society have been
superseded by a rabbinic tradition which claims to be the Divine interpretation of God's Covenant. Yet despite the failure
of this rabbinic tradition to bring anything but God's curses to His people, no one has considered that a tradition
replete with a myriad of contradictions to God's true Covenant should be reexamined for veracity. Therefore, since
Israel has a secular infrastructure with a rabbinic interface which precludes the application of the real Bible of Israel,
it seems to me that Israel like America is doomed.
I
pray that God will bring His Moshiach to the center stage of world affairs inspite of the resistance to this man's consciousness
by both Israelis and Americans. It could very well be that the War of Gog and Magog which is shaping up before our eyes
will be God's method of cleaning house and rebuilding His world based on His vision and laws. After all, it is God Himself
who is the harbinger of universal freedom.
