"And now, O Israel, hearken unto the statutes and unto the ordinances,
which I teach you, to do them; that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord , the God of your fathers,
giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments
of the Lord your God which I command you." ...."But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God
are alive every one of you this day. Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the Lord my God commanded
me, that ye should do so in the midst of the land whither ye go in to possess it. Observe therefore and do them; for
this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, that, when they hear all these statutes, shall say:
'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.' For what great nation is there, that hath God so nigh unto
them, as the Lord our God is whensoever we call upon Him? And what great nation is there, that hath statutes and ordinances
so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?" ( Deuteronomy 4 : 1-8)
The relationship of Am Yisrael with our God is as utterly awesome as it is simple. God means
what He says and wholehearted compliance is what it takes to be the lords of the planet. The world is also awaiting the awakened
nation of Israel for the life giving guidance its peoples desparately need. So God and mankind are awaiting our liberation.
Let's see if this program will help us free ourselves from the obstacles which the negative impulse
( the yetzer harah ) sets before us so we can reflect only God's will and be the vehicles for His Spirit and His intentions.
If we do well some of us will be able to be God's partners and receive a license to operate the
Divine Chariot.
THE JEWISH IDENTITY AND DESTINY WORKSHOP
CONTENTS
Tzellum Elokim (Genesis 1 : 26) The archetypal man - Adam harishon (the
Adam of Creation); the kabbalistic tree of life; hasidic philosophy
Circumcision of the heart - fearing God, walking in all His ways, loving Him, and
serving Him with all your heart and soul; keeping - for our good - the commandments of the Lord, and His statutes, which
He commands us this day ( Deuteronomy 10 : 12 - 16 ).
Learning to see the world and human events from God's perspective. Example: The idea
that bad things happen to good people did not occur to Joshua in chapter 7 when he lost 36 soldiers in a battle with the Amorites
at Ai. Note well that in 7:12 God explained the conditions for His blessing of victory. Israel must restore its clarity about
the relationship between its obligations and its destiny.
