TORAH UNIVERSE 201
The original sin is actually that of Adam and not Eve. Yes Eve did eat of
the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. She states in Genesis 3:2 - 3, "Of the fruit
of the trees of the garden we may eat; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said : Ye
shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." Adam evidently told his
new wife something to the effect of, 'Honey, God said we can't touch or eat of any fruit on any tree in the middle
of the garden". Adam's sin, the original sin of mankind was adding to God's law. The
result was a failure to comply. This is precisely what God warns against in Deuteronomy 4 : 2. " Ye shall not add unto
the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God."
Again God repeats Himself in Deuteronomy 13 : 1. "All this word which I command you, that shall ye observe to do; thou
shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it." Take a look at Proverbs 30 : 5 and 6 : "Every word of God is tried;
He is a shield unto them that take refuge in Him. Add thou not unto His words, Lest He reprove thee and thou be found a liar." The often quoted phrase "the tikkun of Adam and Hava" meaning the correction of Adam and Eve's sin has
been bandied about for centuries. The Torah Universe correction is simple: The Jewish people will have to acknowledge
that the so called 'oral law' and the resulting laws which make up Judaism based on rabbinic texts are precisely the
deviations which God has warned us about. If God was our shield and we were living comfortably in Israel for 2000 years
without a challenge, then you might question the audacity of claiming that the rabbis of Israel were simply continuing the
original sin in inventing Judaism. But after a horrific history including the Holocaust, it behooves a normal and sensible
consciousness to explore the Torah Universe thesis. THINK ABOUT IT !
