America has no serious candidate to defeat Obama, yet he really is the most awful and anti-American
president we've had.
The why of this phenomenon is that a once free people has become a nation of slaves.
The Pilgrims and the Founding Fathers of this once great nation risked their physical lives and material
possessions to enter a veritable wilderness to live free and according to their beliefs. The Pilgrims wanted to serve God
freely. And the Founders risked ALL in order to create a nation with God as KING and SOURCE of ALL.
For these people America represented FREEDOM. The freedom to live under God and to earn and enjoy His bountiful
blessings.
Today America is a nation which has become slaves to this bounty. America is addicted to indoor plumbing,
labor saving conveniences and other creature comforts. People coming to America are arriving to partake of these creature
comforts and they care nothing for freedom, because, as with the new Americans, they too are slaves to their appetites.
Americans cherish their inside jobs and worse, they have become addicted to that which is diametrically
opposed to the God whose blessings America has grown to enjoy.
SO A LOVE OF GOD AND THE FREEDOM TO WORSHIP HIM HAS BECOME A LOVE OF GOD'S BOUNTY AND AN ADDICTION TO THINGS
GOD HATES !!!!!
How long can slaves to perverse appetites such as recreational sexual activities, pornography, easy money
and deleterious diets based on factory farming maintain God's good graces ???
Look at Israel for this lesson. Raised in the wilderness to love God and earn His blessings, Israel became
slaves to comfort and a lifestyle contrary to God's laws. After two thousand years of exile, God allowed Israel to reoccupy
her original inheritance and achieve a good lifestyle with plenty of food and work and security. But Israel again became slaves
to her appetites and deny God. Now Israel is beleaguered by enemies and has no friends on the planet and still does not turn
to the SOURCE of her salvation.
America is enslaved to its creature comforts and perverse appetites.
In both nations the God who brought the blessings of security and comfort has been exiled and excluded from
the formulas for life. Indeed this generation knows not God and God knows them not. We are a lost generation. And anyone of
those true hearts who still yearn for the America of the free and the brave are out on battlefields where they are sent to
die and be broken so that they will not infect the rest of America with the now antithetical love of the America of our Pilgrims
and Founders.
A nation of slaves cannot share its comforts readily. And a nation of slaves is infinitely more apt to choose
slavery over freedom if freedom means risking material, creature comforts. Greed and not largesse mark the nature and character
of slaves. America is fat with greed and God gets no more than lip service while He is kept in exile from the new America
of central heating, indoor plumbing and grain fed, feed lot cattle. If life is not to one's taste he has thousands of channels
including the diabolical adult channels to change his lifestyle at the push of a button. And if his lifestyle fails his
body - well then there is health insurance to keep it up to the task of changing channels to the one that puts the wry smile
on the fat face of the new America - an America none of the Founders or Pilgrims could have imagined in their worst nightmares.
